7.62 x 39 Caliber AR Rifle Uses AK Mags
Please note that at this time (2009) we cannot build AR-47s and do not have receivers to sell. 7.62 x 39 AR components necessary are backordered from all manufacturers for an indefinite time.
The AR-47 lower receiver, designed by Special Weapons and produced by Michael's Machines, for the first time allows an AR-type rifle to be built that provides reliable function in 7.62 x 39 caliber and uses the inexpensive, high capacity and readily available AK magazines.
Standard AR-15 bolt carriers and upper receivers must be modified for use with the AR-47 lower. Details of the mods are available on the manufacturer's website at http://www.ar47.com .
We offer the AR-47 as a complete rifle only at this time, custom built to order.
